Welcome to the Participatory Science Short Course. This three-part, online, asynchronous training introduces the concepts, benefits and methods of participatory science to extension and education practitioners. The UC California Naturalist Program (UC Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources) and the Center for Community and Citizen Science (UC Davis School of Education) collaborated to produce the series.

These online trainings include: 1) an introduction to the basic elements of participatory science; 2) a review of examples of how participatory science is currently being used in various UC ANR and UC Cooperative programs; and 3) creating collaborative and co-created projects, with examples from UCANR and an emphasis on ensuring meaningful participation.
