  Collect information aboutsixteen key species of urban birds. The scientists have created a project that will use data collected from participants in the celebration to study these resident and migratory birds - their numbers, their behavior, their interaction with the urban habitat.

• Participant Activities

  The 10-minutes Bird Observation:

  • Learn about 16 species of birds
  • Pick a date, time, and place for watching birds
  • Watch an area about the size of HALF A BASKETBALL COURT for TEN minutes
  • Using the data form or online system
    • Record which birds you see in your bird -watching area.
    • Tell us about your birdwatching area
  • Send us your data form or submit it online.
