Conference Theme: Explore nature. Build community. Take action.

Conference Goal: This conference is at the heart of our statewide network of naturalists, stewards, environmental educators and interpreters. We explored nature, built community, and took action on behalf of nature together!

Attendees: Certified California Naturalists; natural resource professionals and stewards; docents and interpreters; students & teachers; and citizen scientists.

The UC California Naturalist Program, our conference sponsors, and the Pacific Grove CA Naturalists hosted our inaugural statewide conference October 17-19, 2014 at Asilomar Conference Grounds. This conference was designed for and by the California Naturalist community, but everyone was welcome to attend (Pre-conference press release here).

The biennial UC California Naturalist Conference provided a forum for presenting and discussing new research and developments in natural history, stewardship, citizen science, global change, environmental education, and interpretation for addressing California's environmental challenges. Together we celebrated California State Park's 150th year of providing inspiration and education for the people of California, all in the heart of beautiful Asilomar State Park!
